Swiftly approaching...

The time is getting nearer. For some major-league teams, pitchers and catchers report on Wednesday, Feb. 17 and begin practice the next day. Basketball and the Olympics are OK, but I'm looking forward to baseball (which will keep me going until football season).

Here's a NY Post story on new faces for the NY Yankees.

The last time I was happy with the Baltimore Orioles was 1983, when they won the World Series. Here's a Baltimore Sun story called Optimism for Orioles should be tempered. Apparently they're going to be better than the 64-win team from 2009.
