I WATCH A LOT of the old Emergency! TV show, and I've noted when we're riding with the squad truck. Four times in a row, I noticed them turn left and have to avoid a white car that's slightly straddling the road. Just now, they pulled out and there was no white car. At least they had TWO stock shots to use.
IN EMERGENCY! season three, the episode Frequency Johnny Gage is going to give the bad news to a young widow. She looked up, and I knew it was Linda Kelsey, who later played a newspaperwoman on the Lou Grant show.
I JUST RECOGNIZED a voice on Emergency! in an episode called Kids. It was John Travolta. I also recognized the face, but it wasn't onscreen for long.
In the episode Virus, I didn't recognize an actress until she smiled late in the episode. Those were Cathy Lee Crosby's dimples.
In Peace Pipe, I recognized William Campbell (Star Trek's Trelane) as a drunk driver/patient. I also recognized Brooke Bundy, although I didn't know her name.
In Saddled, I saw Larry Storch (F-Troop) and later spied a nun who resembled Fran Belding on Ironside. It turned out to be Elizabeth Baur, who played Belding.
In the same episode, I recognized a nurse but could only think Deidre. It was Deidre Hall, a famous soap-opera actress from Days of Our Lives.

I'M WATCHING an episode of Emergency! called Mascot. A man appears to be having a heart attack, and I thought the man looked like Jock Mahoney. I looked up the cast, and it was Mahoney.
His character was an actor who liked to play tricks on his friends, and the partygoers thought he was making it up. He wasn't. They had to cardiovert him.
Fuzz Lady was a gold mine of faces, including Sharon Gless (Cagney and Lacey), Paul Fix (The Rifleman) and J. Pat O'Malley. Meg Wyllie (Star Trek's The Cage) was near the bottom of the cast listings.
I'm watching a season two episode called Syndrome, and I recognized Robert Alda (Alan's dad), Jack Carter and Dub Taylor.
In the season two episode Boot, I immediately recognized Vic Tayback (Alice) and Jamie Farr (M*A*S*H). I thought I recognized Paula Prentiss; it was her sister, Ann. I also recognized Jock Mahoney again.
In the episode Zero, I've recognized Dick Enberg and Mariette Hartley.

I'D SEEN the episode The Case of Lady Beryl before, and I'd thought that Lady Beryl looked familiar. So I looked on IMDb. She was played by Paulette Goddard, a famous actress. I didn't KNOW that she was Paulette Goddard; I only knew that she was famous enough that I recognized the face.
I just wonder how she wound up in a short-lived TV show.

I'M WATCHING an old TV show featuring David Janssen (The Fugitive and Harry O). His character, Richard Diamond, wants to help an old friend who is in trouble. When Diamond walks in the apartment, I heard a voice from Hazzard County, Roscoe P. Coltrane.
James Best played Sheriff Coltrane and this character, and he was playing Diamond's friend.
EXTRA: I just found Best on a 1959 episode of Bat Masterson. He got around.

I JUST FOUND the first episode of a show called Coronado 9, starring Rod Cameron. The first scene features two other famous faces, Doug McClure and Beverly Garland. Later, Anthony Caruso (Star Trek, A Piece of the Action) shows up.
Cameron plays a private detective who's on a boat, making him a cross between Jim Rockford (The Rockford Files) and Mike Nelson (Sea Hunt). We'll see how it goes. (Cameron actually played in an episode of The Rockford Files. Sadly, he was never on Sea Hunt.)
I just watched another episode of Coronado 9 (Run, Shep, Run) and immediately recognized DeForest Kelley, Dr. Bones McCoy on Star Trek. (SPOILER: Dr. McCoy was the killer.)

I was half expecting Adam West (Batman) to show up later, since he was in one Perry Mason episode (The Case of the Barefaced Witness).

I HAD NEVER heard of Rocky King Detective until today. The 1950s TV show had poor visuals, and the dreary organ music was irritating. Still, I liked the gripping story and few characters we saw.
Rocky's wife, Mabel, was interesting, especially since we only heard her voice and never saw her face. I did recognize one face; John Anderson (MacGyver's grandfather) played the bartender.
I'll look on YouTube for more Rocky King and found an episode called In The Bag.
In The Bag is better in some ways. There are more other characters, and the interplay between Rocky and his wife has improved. No, you still don't see her.
This story is as compelling as the first one.

I WAS WATCHING a Mr. Wong movie last night and I recognized a profile from behind. That was Perry White (John Hamilton) from The Adventures of Superman.
^
ON CRIMINAL MINDS, I encountered Tony Todd, who played on Star Trek: The Next Generation and ST: Deep Space Nine. As usual, he gave a stellar and memorable performance.

I'M WATCHING ANOTHER Perry Mason episode (The Case of the Prodigal Parent), and I've already seen Fay Wray (King Kong), Nancy Kulp (The Beverly Hillbillies) and John Hoyt (many projects; he's the accused).
^
I WATCH A LOT of Perry Mason. I'm watching The Case of the Black-Eyed Blonde, and I've already recognized Whitney Blake. R.G. Armstrong (Pruneface in Dick Tracy) and Phyllis Coates (Lois Lane in The Adventures of Superman) are also in this episode.

ON AN EPISODE of Criminal Minds, this woman didn't look familiar. But she grimaced, and I instantly recognized Harm's partner Meg from JAG. Tracy Needham was about 10 years older than she was on JAG.
