A STRANGE SEASON SO FAR

STRANGE NEW WORLDS SEASON 3

I have to admit that season three of Strange New Worlds has been a disappointment. I'd give the first episode, about the Gorn Hegenomy, a seven out of 10, good, not great. The Wedding Bell Blues, where Trelane tries to marry off Chapel to Spock, probably earned a grudging five.

The third episode so far, Shuttle to Kenfori, was a zombie movie; and I hate (and avoid) zombie movies. I was tempted to give it a zero, but I'll go with a two. There wasn't much for me to like.

The fourth episode, where they were on the holodeck, was a disaster. I found a few things to like about it, but I can't enjoy something that wouldn't exist until Star Trek: The Next Generation! The holodeck drew too much power in this episode, but it was too perfect for a technology that wouldn't be perfected for 100 years. And we'd seen this kind of story before. I gave this episode a four out of 10 earlier, and I'd downgrade it now to a three. I hated it, and I doubt I'll watch it again.

So far, I haven't watched a third-season episode twice so far.

I'm actually looking forward to an episode that I love.

I found it; episode six. I'll write more later.
