I was just watching episode two of season three of Strange New Worlds, and I didn't immediately recognize the wedding planner. But when he said "I can do anything I want," I knew it was Trelane, the all-powerful entity from Star Trek.
Then I thought, how do you get rid of an all-powerful, Q-like entity? I like the way Spock came up with to break the spell, and I was happy to see Trelane's daddy show up (voiced by Q, John de Lancie). The guy who played Trelane (Rhys Darby) was marvelous.
I enjoyed the dance sequence at the end (although the choice of music might be questionable), but I wondered what the heck is going on with Erica Ortegas? Oh, by the way, La'an never looked so lovely.
Interestingly, they never mentioned Trelane's name (or the Q Continuum).
