IF THE LAKERS' 11-point lead holds up (and it did, as you know), they'll beat the Suns and advance to the NBA Finals against the Boston Celtics.
I've rooted for the Lakers since 1969, when Jerry West, Wilt Chamberlain and Gail Goodrich were their stars. They've played the Celtics 11 times in the NBA Finals, winning only twice (1985 and '87), so I have mixed emotions. I hate it when the Lakers and Celtics play.
On the other hand, I've always said that the NBA is at its best when the Lakers and Celtics are good at the same time.
It's better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than open it and remove all doubt. — Mark Twain
