April Fools

MY AUNT EDIE AND I were so proud of our birthdays. She was born on April 1, and my birthday was the last of October. Her day was April Fool's Day; mine is Halloween.

We thought we had the best birthdays possible. I think of Aunt Edie occasionally, but she always comes to mind on this day. Sadly, I can't call most of her children — they're dead — and I don't know where the one or two survivors are.

So again I'll send happy-birthday wishes out into the void.
