COUNTING NUMB3RS

Numb3rs Show Trailer - Ion Television

WATCHING NUMB3RS

I'VE BEEN BINGE-WATCHING the old TV show NUMB3RS lately, and I run across recognizable faces now and then.

GENA ROWLANDS and Armin Shimerman (Quark on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine) showed up in the NUMB3RS episode Provenance.

I JUST RECOGNIZED JoBeth Williams in a NUMB3RS episode, Hot Shot. She was playing Charlie's dead mother, come back to visit his dream. Olympia Dukakis is also in this episode.

ROBERT FORSTER showed up on the episode Protest. I recognized the face, then found the name on IMDb.

In the same episode, I recognized Mary Kay Place (The Big Chill), first her voice, then her face.

I JUST RECOGNIZED Trent Kort from the NCIS show. David Dayan Fisher was playing a shady doctor on the NUMB3RS episode Harvest.

ETHAN PHILLIPS (Neelix on Star Trek: Voyager) played a math teacher/gambler on the episode Double Down.

BILL NYE, THE SCIENCE GUY just showed up in the episode Scorched. He's playing a science professor; big surprise..

WILL PATTON, the assistant coach in Denzel Washington's movie Remember the Titans, appeared in the episode The O.G. He was playing a hard-nosed cop.

I JUST FOUND the actor Alan Rosenberg on Judgment Call. On the show The Guardian, he played Alvin Masterson, the law boss for Simon Baker's Nick Fallin.

CONNOR TRINNEER (Charles "Trip" Tucker III on Star Trek's Enterprise) just showed up on the episode Toxin. Lou Diamond Phillips also was featured.

GRAEME GREENE (Maverick) is in an episode on Native American archeology.

I'M WATCHING another episode of NUMB3RS, and a familiar mouth showed up. I recognized singer Thelma Gleffey from the Jesse Stone movies. Gloria Reuben was playing Erica Quimby on NUMB3RS.

Later, I recognized Bill Smitrovich, who played Inspector Cramer on the Nero Wolfe series featuring Maury Chaykin. His voice tipped me off first.

I WAS WATCHING an episode of NUMB3RS and recognized Margot Rose, who played Jean-Luc Picard's imaginary wife in the episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation called The Inner Light.

In NUMB3RS, she was listed only as Finn Montgomery's mom.

There are a notable number (four, so far) of ex-Star Trek folk on this show.
